Justin Sherwin

Introduction

My name is Justin Sherwin. I am an Eagle Scout that prides themselves on being detail-oriented and purposeful. I am seeking an entry level engineering position in testing, calibration or validation. I am experienced with various problem solving methods including PDCA and 5 Why, as well as with Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor and Excel. I have been an intern with Allison Transmission and Firestone Building Products as well as held multiple leadership roles on the Purdue Baja Racing team.

My interests include working on and modifying vehicles of all sorts and that is demonstrated by my hobby truck. It is a 5.0l V8 swapped Ford Ranger that I love to drive off road and further modify. My time on the Purdue Baja Racing team also highlights this and my love for the technical complexity of vehicle systems. I pioneered a brand new on board data acquisition system that helped the team gather necessary data about the car that drove their decisions in the 2020-21 season. I am interested in finding a position that fits the hands-on, quick paced problem solving model similar to what I've enjoyed before.
