The goal of this project was to create a truss based structure that could span more than 12 inches and support the highest possible load. Additional points were awarded to teams that exceeded 25lbs and whose structures weighed less than 1lb.

This design focused on using materials that were well suited to either tension or compression loads in specific locations in the structure where said loads were present. This allowed the weight of the design to be kept below 1lb and for the structure to support a maximum load of approximately 2,770lbs.
